The drought affected 2006 & 2007 seasons have been a difficult time to trial the fertiliser with broad acre cropping but the results have been positive so far.

The photo at the top of the page is wheat grown by Chris Malone using fecondo, lime and a foliar spray.

Other local farmers have also been pleased with the early growth of crops grown with fecondo with plants looking healthier in general in the area the product was used.

Results from trial strips done in Tarcowie in 2006 & 2007 showed an increase in yield both years and a reduction in rhizoctonia in the areas the fecondo was applied at 150kg/ha.

Garry and Andrew Byerlee conducted trials over a 2 year period and found the fecondo plants “..looked healthier and the root disease Rhizoctonia was a lot less prevalent as in other surrounding areas..”. They found a small gain in yield” in conclusion there is a place in broad acre farming for this product any increase in yield and better control of root disease is an advantage and therefore more $/ha”

Bob Arthur of Tarcowie applied fecondo to some of his cereal crops and noticed “a healthy appearance and vigour of crops during a controlled test in very unfavourable dry conditions and a reduction in Rhizoctonia “

Peter and Noreen of Tarcowie planted half their cereal crops with conventional 19:13 ammonia based fertiliser, the other half with fecondo. “.... Crops fertilised with fecondo did not burn off... Even late in the season when crops were stressed the young tillers did not burn....also yielded higher than the others”

And in the garden....

Peter and Noreen are also using a trial run on a rose garden. The roses showed extra growth after 2 weeks with earlier blossoms.

John and Jeffa Lyon planted two rows of celery seeds, one was a control, the other they added fecondo “...there was a detectable difference in height with the fecondo row being well ahead. We were so pleased that we took a photo of the difference...”

Brian and Yvonne Case of Jamestown S.A. had just about given up on one of their roses, they were ready to remove it as it just wouldn’t flower. They put some ‘fecondo’ on and it came back to life with healthy glossy leaves and lots of beautiful blooms.
