fertiliser made by farmers for farmers

How much P is locked up
 in your soil?

Research from GRDC and CSIRO has shown that huge amounts of Phosphorous that farmers apply every year is not actually being used by the plants. A large portion get’s tied up and the plants can’t access it making the application wasted fertiliser money for farmers.

It has also shown that soil
microbes, such as those in
fecondo, provide a means of
accessing P for plants. Both freshly applied P and reserved P from years of tied up accumulation are solubalised by the microbes for plants to use throughout their whole growth cycle.

The microbes also have many other beneficial functions for farming.

Fecondo provides sufficient phosphorous for healthy plant growth along with an extensive range of other important
minerals. Fecondo is made using a bounty of beneficial soil micro-organisms that make the phosphorous and other minerals from the rock plant available within days of application and continually throughout the whole growth cycle.

These microbes make fecondo work to access N and P with days of access to moisture. They also unlock previously unavailable P reserves held in the soil for use by the plant on demand.

Some farmers have found an increase in yield over two extremely dry years.

The combination of nutrients from the phosphate rock and the microbes together is the key to making the P and other minerals available for the whole growth cycle of the plant. Money is spent wisely.

Application

  • General Application:

  • fecondo is finely crushed rock that needs to be spread by broadcasting for large areas and by hand for the garden

A natural source of nitrogen such as composted manure or fish emulsion may need to be applied in conjunction with fecondo or ammonium sulphate for larger areas

For application rates for smaller areas refer to packaging

  • Broad Acre Application:

Rate: A minimum of 150kg/ha with no upper limit

Spread as soon as possible before microbes begin to form aggregates

Can be spread at same time as lime, composts and small amounts of gypsum
